We worked with Choice Wellbeing Service to develop Rainbow Guide, a mobile app designed to help parent carers easily find support organisations across Sunderland.
Created by parent carers who understood the feeling of being overwhelmed after a child’s diagnosis, the project set out to provide something clear, practical and accessible: a straightforward guide to local services and support.
We developed a native mobile app, including:
- A simple, mobile-first guide to Sunderland support organisations
- Clear signposting to relevant services for families and parent carers
- A backend platform for managing support organisation information
- Cloud-hosted infrastructure to support scalability and availability
- A user experience focused on accessibility, clarity and reassurance
The platform was built using Django, AWS, Kotlin and Swift.
Rainbow Guide gives families a clearer way to navigate local support, helping parent carers access useful information at a time when they may need it most.
