How can we help end loneliness through improving ways of working?
Charity Wag & Company needed to transform their digital platform and systems so they could operate more efficiently and scale up their operation. They work in the elderly care sector, providing a befriending service through volunteers and their dogs, to combat isolation and loneliness.
We delivered a whole scale solution that:
- Converted their legacy WordPress platform into a modern and scalable Django web platform
- Has Security as paramount, so was 3rd party security tested via penetration test
- Implemented DBS check validation
- Implemented location based mapping of charity impact via Google Maps heatmaps
- Automated previously manual processes
We received a transformational grant from The National Lottery's Digital and Reaching Communities funds to equip us with the right digital systems. A big part of the project was the Wag engine room - in short it allows us to do
what we do best, at the scale that we need to do it, now and into the future, efficiently, safely and professionally and of course with lots of heart.”
