How can travellers get up to the minute journey information?
Tyne & Wear Metro needed to have one app for customers to be able to plan their journeys better, with planning and live timetables.
We worked in partnership with Metro operator Nexus to merge multiple legacy apps into one modern all-encompassing Pop App.
The Native iOS and Android mobile Pop app features:
- live train times to the network for the first time
- bespoke journey planning including multi-stage and interchange journeys using cutting- edge GTFS technology, backed by Google
- integrated live Service Status Push Notifications
- integrated live park and ride parking data from custom local government API.
